Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of care can I expect?

Your care is personal and fully-customizable. However, Caregivers are not allowed to provide medical care. Typical duties allow help for Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). Examples of ADL's are: Light Housekeeping, Bathing, Toileting, Medication Reminders, Meal Preparations, Eating, Dressing, Continence, and many more!

How much do services cost?

Since care is personal to each individual, there is no set price for everyone. Cost of care depend on a few things: Level of Care, Number of Hours, and Location.

Are Caregivers qualified?

We understand the uncertainty that comes with an unfamiliar face. Rest assured that Everguard's Caregivers undergo a strict screening process. Screening process includes: Background Checks, Reference Checks, Interviews, and Verification of Training. All are registered with the California Home Care Aide Registry and are insured and bonded.

What if I need to change or cancel a visit?

We understand that schedules change. Just let us know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees. We’re flexible and happy to work with you.

Is there a minimum hour requirement?

Yes, [4 hours] is our minimum hour requirement. If you need less than 4 hours, we will happily refer and work with a Referral Agency to ensure you are getting the care you deserve!

Do you accept Long Term Care (LTC) Insurance or Medi-cal?

We accept some long-term care insurance plans and can assist with documentation. At this time, we do not accept Medi-Cal or Medicare, as they typically do not cover non-medical home care services.

How quickly can I receive care services?

In many cases, we can begin services within 24 to 48 hours of your initial consultation. We’ll work with your schedule to make the transition as smooth as possible.

How do you create a Care Plan?

We start with an in-home consultation to understand your needs, preferences, and daily routine. From there, we develop a personalized care plan and match you with a caregiver who fits your situation.
